Itinerary:

Day 1:

  • Departure from Cairo 6:00 AM to start tour desert trip heading to Siwa Oasis (855 km).
  • We drive on the Cairo - Alex, desert road until we reach wadi el Natroun to visit 3 monasteries of St. Bishoay, Dir el Serian and the monastery of the Virgin Mary.
  • Then we drive back to the paved road to take a short cut of 125 kilometers to Al Alamain. This historic city since the 2nu world war 2.
  • Visit the German cemetery on the coast of the Mediterranean sea. (lunch ).
  • We drive along the coast line until we reach Marsa Matrouh.
  • (A chance for a swim in the sea)
  • Overnight in 4 stars hotel (half board)

Day 2:

  • After breakfast we drive to Hamam Kilopatra for a good shower in the famous cave in the sea made for Kilopatra, the queen of Egypt when she was waiting for her lover Antony to arrive from Rome.
  • We drive south west starting our oasis trip heading to Siwa oasis ( 450 kilometers from Marsa Matrouh ) We eat lunch on the way to Siwa.
  • Drive through the oasis until we reach our camp in Beer Wahed ( 30 kilometers ) off road lies a beautiful lake surrounded with

the sand dunes, and full of wild ducks where we go swimming with them in this extra ordinary place on earth. Overnight camp.

Day 3:

  • Drive back to the oasis to visit the temple of Amun ( built by Alexander the great over looking the palm tree forsets .
  • Visit Shalli and Gebel El Maota or the mountain of Ded.
  • Then we go to Fotnas Island to enjoy lunch in this beautiful garden with a spring and a pool of sweet water in the middle surrounded with palm trees and lakes from all sides.
  • After lunch we drive back to our camp in Beer Wahed. O/N camp.

Day 4:

  • Early morning wake up early for breakfast and get ready for a long drive across the desert from Siwa to Baharia oasis 350 kilometers north east from Siwa.
  • (Lunch on the way to Baharia)
  • Arrive Baharia around 4-5 PM.
  • Drive to the white desert to see the impressive lime stone formations where the forces of erosion have created fantastic natural rocks which looks like snow from a distance.
  • Overnight camp.

Day 5:

  • After breakfast we drive back to Bahrain to visit the local musium.
  • Then we go for sight seeing through the oasis between the Mud bricks houses .( A chance to visit Bedouins in their homes to discover how they live in this beautiful place).
  • Visit Gebel Aswad (the fabulous black mountain covered by volcanic rock).
  • We start our last long drive back to Cairo 370 kilometers north east of Bahraia.
  • Back to Cairo around 6:00PM.

Personal Gear:

All participants should have good walking shoes, light clothes for the day, and heavy ones for the night. They should have water canteens that can hold 1-2 liters of water. They should not forget to bring along their swimsuits, towels, sun hats, sun glasses and sun tan creams. Don't forget your passports.

  1. Vehicles: All our desert safaris are conducted by equipped 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers.
  2. Food: All our desert excursions are full board. We have breakfast before leaving the night camp, then we eat lunch during the course of our tour, and at night we cook dinner around the camp fire, with the help of our participants to cook and clean up.
  3. Guides: Our guides are very well experienced and trained to face any trouble happening during the trip.
    • They are medically trained for adventure trips to provide medical treatment if needed.
    • They speak your language perfectly well.
    • They know a lot about the desert and they explain the visited areas' botany, geology, history, nature, and geography, and you can ask them as many questions as you want.
  4. Snacks: We offer you: water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, and chips on your request at any time during the day even in the Jeep or on a camel's back.
  5. Equipment:
    • Most trips are equipped with GPS, not to show the way through the desert, but only to provide altitudes, direction and speed of the Jeep.
    • We provide all our trips with a professional cook and cooking equipment.
    • We also provide you with extra washing water before and after the meals.
    • We take extra Gasoline tanks that can hold more than 40 litters.
    • We offer you Sleeping bags, Blankets and Mattresses at night.
    • We Provide our 1 Day tour with an Ice Box Filled with Ice Cubes and soft drinks.

Whilst travelling across the Desert you must be prepared for the occasional Inconveniences or discomforts, and even a little Risk.
