Itinerary:

Day 1:

  • Departure from Cairo at 6:00 A.M, heading to South Sinai (Nowaiba)
  • We arrive at Nowaiba City around 1:00 P.M
  • We rest on the Gulf of Aqaba in Tarabeen bedouin village. (Lunch in Tarabeen)
  • After lunch we go sightseeing in the village and through the city of Nowaiba.
  • (A chance for a swim in the Gulf)
  • Back for dinner in the camp and overnight.

Day 2:

  • After breakfast we drive south west going to the Rock of Inscription. (Nabatian and early Christian inscriptions survived side by side)
  • From here we overlook the Oasis of Ein Khudra. Drive to Nawamis, an extremely well preserved Burial Chambers from the early Bronze age, covering the nearby red Sandstone plateau.
  • From here we drive for 80Km's heading to the Monastery of St. Catherine, Founded in the 6th Century by the Emperor Justanian. It houses one of the World's most famous collections of the early Christian art. (The Monastery is closed on Holidays)
  • We eat lunch in the Bedouin village of St. Catherine and spend some time in the Village before sleeping.
  • (Overnight in Hostel)

Day 3:

  • At 1:30 A.M we wake up to start climbing up Mount Sinai (2285ft. above sea level).
  • We watch the Sunrise and eat breakfast and go down to meet our Jeep to start Another off road adventure for about 3h's heading to Ein El Akhdar. This beautiful Oasis surrounded with mountains, with an old well in the middle of The old Bedouin houses. (lunch and overnight in the Oasis)

Day 4:

  • After breakfast we start another drive across the desert, heading to Sarabeet El Khadem.
  • Visit the ancient Egyption Temple dedicated to the Goddess Hthour high on the Sandstone plateau above the bedouin village.
  • (Lunch on top of the mountain)
  • Visit the ancestral shrine of Sheikh Habous, then we drive towards Gebal El Fooga and the Forest of Pillars.
  • Drive the stunning Wady Barack to the Forest of Pillars, a rear Geological Phenomena set under the great limestone plateau of El Tih. (Overnight camp)

Day 5:

  • After breakfast we start our long drive back to the paved road and along the Coast of the Gulf of Suez, heading back to Cairo.
  • (Back to Cairo around 5:00 P.M)

Personal Gear:

All participants should have good walking shoes, light clothes for the day, and heavy ones for the night. They should have water canteens that can hold 1-2 liters of water. They should not forget to bring along their swimsuits, towels, sun hats, sun glasses and sun tan creams. Don't forget your passports.

  1. Vehicles: All our desert safaris are conducted by equipped 4x4 Toyota Land Cruisers.
  2. Food: All our desert excursions are full board. We have breakfast before leaving the night camp, then we eat lunch during the course of our tour, and at night we cook dinner around the camp fire, with the help of our participants to cook and clean up.
  3. Guides: Our guides are very well experienced and trained to face any trouble happening during the trip.
    • They are medically trained for adventure trips to provide medical treatment if needed.
    • They speak your language perfectly well.
    • They know a lot about the desert and they explain the visited areas' botany, geology, history, nature, and geography, and you can ask them as many questions as you want.
  4. Snacks: We offer you: water, tea, coffee, soft drinks, biscuits, and chips on your request at any time during the day even in the Jeep or on a camel's back.
  5. Equipment:
    • Most trips are equipped with GPS, not to show the way through the desert, but only to provide altitudes, direction and speed of the Jeep.
    • We provide all our trips with a professional cook and cooking equipment.
    • We also provide you with extra washing water before and after the meals.
    • We take extra Gasoline tanks that can hold more than 40 litters.
    • We offer you Sleeping bags, Blankets and Mattresses at night.
    • We Provide our 1 Day tour with an Ice Box Filled with Ice Cubes and soft drinks.

Our excursions take place in remote areas and Often you should not except everything to work Perfectly. Change of itinerary may also occur Due to weather conditions and other reasons Out of our hand. Whilst travelling across the Desert you must be prepared for the occasional Inconveniences or discomforts, and even a little Risk. We of course use our experience and expertise To solve problems without you even noticing them.
